Last weekend I had the opportunity to finally see Terminator 2 in the theatre. It was so good – I actually went back 2 days later and watched it again.
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the film, they re-released it into theaters allowing me to see it remastered (perfectly) as well as to hear it with theatre volume/quality. (T2 has one of the best soundtracks/score of any movies out there). I was so excited to watch it in the theatre – I was either smiling or shedding tears of joy the entire time. I know – most people think I am crazy…but this movie really shaped a big part of who I am today.
I was too young to see T2 in the theatre when it first came out but my sister and I became such big fans we promised each other to see the next one (if there was going to be a next one) together. When Terminator 3 did come out I flew to her house and we went together. We we not huge fans of Terminator 3, but I have seen all the others and can appreciate them. Nothing hits like Terminator 2 though.
I went to college and had 2 Terminator 2 posters over my bed.
I bought and became of a fan of Public Enemy after seeing John Connor with the Public Enemy shirt.
I have idolized the transformation of Sarah Connor from Terminator 1 to Terminator 2 and every time I see her doing pull-ups at the beginning of T2 it makes me feel like I can do anything (seeing that Sarah went from a frail waitress to a complete beast).
When I am on a run where things do not feel great – I often imagine either the T-1000 chasing me or me being the T-1000 to reset my mindset.
It would be a dream come true to have a full size Terminator endoskeleton with a red eye greeting people as they entered my house.
My son dressed up as the Terminator for a Halloween costume in elementary school.

I play Fortnite as Sarah Connor.
You get it – I am a fan!
There are certain things in my life that have made me so happy to have been a part of and seeing this movie in the theatre was right up there. I am so thankful it was re-released and I got the opportunity to see it (2x)!
