4 Mile Tempo Run

Training For: 2026 Chicago Spring Half Marathon

Tempo runs make me nervous but I remember the last time I trained for a half marathon I enjoyed one of the tempo runs with Matt Wilpers and so I decided to take it again.

I felt pretty good during the run but will make sure to do my next one outside as it is really hard to know what pace to use.

Overall – I am happy to have done it and have a few good take aways. Breathing/talking to yourself out loud can really help when you are having trouble settling into a run which I generally experience.
