Best Taco Seasoning…Ever!

Last year for my birthday – some friends bought me spices from: The Spice House. The seasoning was not like any other I had ever had – but I instantly thought “I want to eat this every day.” I love just about everything hot and spicy, but this taco seasoning – even though it was not hot at all – it was amazing (it is the cinnamon that makes it). If you are looking for a gift for someone – check out The Spice House and especially the Taco seasoning. Next up? I am going to try making their pickle… Read More »

The relish was super fresh I could barely hold myself back from eating too much. I… Read More »

One of my favorites though is something I found by watching one of his TV show episodes (Mexico – One Plate at a Time With Rick Bayless) a few years ago. The recipe: Slow Roasted Garlic Mojo – aka liquid gold. The recipe is easy to follow and your entire house will smell like roasted garlic for at least a day or two (which… Read More »

I never would have thought about touching this stuff until this past fall when everyone I was with at a party was appalled that I had never tried it. One bite and I was instantly transformed into a fan. If you are ever in Chicago and get an Italian beef sandwich – make sure to ask for it!

Trick or Treating for All

Posted by: Jennifer Zelazny | 0 Comments

Yesterday we took the kids trick or treating on our block and the next block. Although I am not a huge fan of Halloween – it was a nice time. The kids had fun and we actually had fun as well. We got to meet some of the neighbors and walked around with some friends. Some of our neighbors really get into it with crazy decorations, music, dressing up, etc. One house we went to handed out candy to kids, then he had a margarita machine, jelly shots, and beer for adults. Hopefully next year will be as fun!
