ABC’s The Goldbergs

When I first saw this show advertised I thought to myself “this looks like a great show”…and that was it. FINALLY I caught a few episodes and as expected – I love it. It is based in the 1980s from a young boy’s perspective. Growing up the in 1980s myself – the episodes I watched really brought my back to my childhood – with my tape collection and all great things from that decade. Internet Arcade

When I was a kid in the 1980s/1990s – there was not too many things I wanted to do more than go to an arcade to play my favorite games (Afterburner/Space Harrier to name a few). Recently I came across the “Internet Arcade” and love it! Finally I can play Qbert again too! The Internet Arcade is a web-based library of arcade (coin-operated) video games from the 1970s through to the 1990s, emulated in JSMAME, part of the JSMESS software package. There is something to say about the old NES games though where you’ve made the same jump at the same time each game. Perfecting a game meant learning and practicing timing vs. anticipating change like the games now.
