Bondathon

Films

Ahh yes…another Thanksgiving has come and gone. Thanksgiving would not be complete without some stuffing balls, some sort of family disfunction and, James Bond. This year was no exception. The stuffing balls were amazing, once again. Not really sure what to say about the family dysfunction…there is always something in the air…but at least I put in a good 15 hours (at least) watching the Bondathon. Waking up to a James Bond movie…going to sleep with another…now that is what I call Thanksgiving! I ended up doing a lot of work over the long weekend, but Bond was always on in the background. I do not know what it is about the Bond marathons that get me so excited. I own all the James Bond movies on DVD, yet I sit through all the commercials just to watch the Bondathon every year.

Who is my favorite Bond? Roger Moore, hands down. With movies like Octopussy, Moonraker, and Live and Let Die, Roger easily tops my list of Best Bonds. Sean Connery was a little too rough on women. I barely got to see George Lazenby in action. Timothy Dalton was a little too shy. Pierce Brosnan…a close second.

Well. A good calendar solution is always needed for business and/or personal needs. I just happened to stumble on a really cool PHP/CSS/AJAX solution: Monket Calendar. Check out the demo. As of now, it is still in beta testing, but it looks promising. (Especially since it supports RSS and iCal…as well as used AJAX. I […]
