.mac's backup 3.

Apple

I have had a .Mac account since the beginning (and a “forever free .Mac email address” since the keynote that announced it) but have never really used the Backup application regularly. I have gone back and forth with using rsync at home (with my Solaris machine), but I have to say this latest release is mighty nice. You can easily schedule automatic backups to your 1 gig of online .Mac iDisk space, as well as remind you every x days, weeks, or months to backup purchased music, movies, etc to DVD, CD or an external drive. Now, I know for sure I have everything backed up on a regular basis…and the most important documents – off site. Good work Apple. Now, where are my email filters for web mail??
